Warm-o-rama We warmed up our speaking voices with small talk, chit-chat, feedback on the great food that people brought. Shout out to the vegan coneys – you wouldn’t know the difference! All food contributions were fantastic!
Thang My wife said apparently we do book club wrong. Book club is about drinking wine and not talking about the book with about 50% of the club having not read the book. We clearly failed to achieve that. Great conversation about the various “nations” of our country and how maybe the sanitized happy versions of American history taught in school left out some more complex nuances of what really happened. And while no one description of a nation is perfect, it’s a pretty good explanation of what happens where and why and definitely provides some great insight. Some PAX said it really helps to better understand their in-laws now.
Mary People did a decent job of cleaning up the dishes they brought and recycling empty beverage containers.
COT Boldest prediction of the future from Harry T. Stone: The US will sell Hawaii to China to fund social security.
